I have long thought that is wrong for the Police and DPS to sit on the side of the road with their Lights off or in unmarked cars or hide out of view to give tickets. To me, this is entrapment. Law Enforcement is suppose to be in plain view to the public. The people must get the laws changed or the Cop from Hell (The Cop of Color who needs an Anger Management Class) will abuse the system forever. The Citizens have rights and Law Enforcement enforce the rule of the law. There is more to traffic enforcement than rule of law, It is called common sense. While I have not been the victim of these entrapment’s, it bothers me to see it because it is an infringement of our civic rights. This is just my 1/2 cent.
Its not entrapment by any stretch. But I do wonder about some things. Like why do you see a sheriff’s SUV hiding behind the wall in the Elks Club parking lot on Wilcox Dr. (across from the Herald) taking radar in the middle of the City at 2:25 PM on Monday February 20th? Shouldn’t they be out patrolling in the county somewhere?
