To the Editor:

I really must respond to the very negative item in Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, “On Your Mind” column wherein a reader called the Frost Fest at Huachuca City Library ‘a dismal failure’. To the contrary, the event was a great success. How could it be otherwise where there were 47 entries from young people grades K-8? This means that more than 47 contemplated entering the exhibition. 47 had discussions with family. 47 had discussions with art teachers and fellow students. 47 had the courage to set a goal and to follow it through.
